Mighty Hawk Band

Known as the pride of Heath, the Mighty Hawk Band is the largest music and spirit organization on campus! Since 2005 hundreds of students have performed music while marching visual interpretations alongside the color guard and twirlers at half-time shows and marching band competitions in the months of August-November.

PURPOSE

The program’s primary focus is to provide comprehensive music education with the intention to equip tomorrow’s musical enthusiasts with the tools they need to enjoy a lifetime of music no matter their career choice.

STUDENTS

Loyalty, cooperation, and determination are the characteristic traits of a band student. All band members establish individual goals for improvement, act responsibly, and give their best effort for the continued success of the Rockwall-Heath Mighty Hawk Band. Auditions to participate in the show are held in August of each year. All student musicians are required to audition.

AWARDS

Over the years, the band has been recognized for presenting high-quality musical and visual programs that have accumulated countless awards in all areas of the music program: marching band, percussion, color guard, ensembles for concert and jazz bands as well as for soloists.

NEEDS

As the largest organization on campus, the Mighty Hawk Band depends on the help of the band families and community. From building props to chaperoning trips and sponsoring the band for equipment needs. There is always a need for helping hands and generous donations. Please support the Mighty Hawk Band. All donations are tax-deductible.
