Division 1 and 5th overall at the Mesquite Marching Festival

The Mighty Hawk Band performed their show entitled "War Among Gods," at the Mesquite Memorial Stadium for the Mesquite Marching Festival on Saturday, October 5, 2019. This was the first marching band competition of the season for the MHB. Benjamin Sumrak, Director of Bands, said: "I am so proud of how well the band did! Out of 30 marching bands, the Rockwall-Heath High School Mighty Hawk Band earned fifth place overall and received a first division rating.” Mr. Sumrak shared his gratitude "A big thank you to everyone who helped make Saturday such a success, from those that rode the bus, helped with props, helped moved equipment, and even helped to keep the kids hydrated. We could not have done it without you. "

The band will compete again on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at the Royse City Marching Classic at the Bulldog Stadium located at 700 S. FM 2642 Royse City, TX 75189. This contest offers a prelims finals format. The top 5 bands will compete in the finals round. Mr. Sumrak is very confident about the band "I have no doubt we will advance to finals, so please come out and support your Mighty Hawk Band!"

Performance time for the Mighty Hawk Band is 3:45pm. Ticket Prices are $10 per person; $5 children 12 and under Children under 5 years of age are admitted free of charge. The ticket booth accepts cash or credit.
