About Color Guard
Fall Semester - Color Guard
July-November
The color guard portrays visual stories to the marching band show with dance movement, spinning equipment, and more!
Auditions are held in late April. Performances begin in August and continue through November. Color Guard is a single blocked year-long elective class that meets during the school day.
Spring Semester - Winter Guard
November-March
The winter guard allows our color guard students the opportunity to continue developing their skills after the marching season by performing in competitions through the North Texas Color Guard Association and the Winter Guard International circuits. The Varsity Winter Guard earned 1st place in Regional A at the 2026 NTCA Championships.
Auditions are held in November for Varsity and JV Winter Guard. Performances begin in February and continue through April. Students are encouraged to perform at Solo & Ensemble.
